Rev. Orville Elwin Burton of Davison, age 92, died Saturday December 29, 2018 at McLaren-Flint. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday January 3, 2019 at Richfield Church of the Nazarene 7524 E. Mt. Morris Rd. Otisville. Pastor Alan Duce officiating; with inurnment at Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date. Family will receive visitors from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Rev. Burton will lie in state at the church from 10:00 am Thursday until time of services. Those desiring may make contributions in Rev. Burton's name to McLaren Hospice.

Orville was born in Flint Michigan on June 5, 1926 the son of the late: George & Bertha (Jewel) Burton and had resided in the St. Helen area for over twenty years and returning to Davison the last five years. He was joined in marriage to Ethel Arlene Martin on July 11, 1945 in Genesee and she preceded him in death on July 21, 2013. He was a graduate of Davison High School Class of 1944, upon graduation he answered the call of his Country serving in US Navy during WW II and was assigned to the USS Grayson. He is a member of Richfield Church of the Nazarene and was an avid fisherman. Rev. Burton was a retired Nazarene Pastor and had served many churches in Florida and Michigan.

Surviving are sons: Ron and Jan Burton, Gary and June Burton, and Dennis and Susan Burton, He also leaves his fifteen grandchildren, numerous great and great great grandchildren, his sister Donna (Roy) Burbank, and a host of extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by great grandson James Zells II, daughter-in-law Angela Burton, brother Larry Burton, and sister Shirley Mills. Please share your condolences at www.hansenfuneralhome.net
