Orlin D. Bacheller Sr. of Millington age 81 passed away Tuesday January 14, 2014 at his daughter's residence. Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday January 18, 2014 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel Downtown Davison. Chaplin Gene Smith officiating. Private inurnment at Great Lakes National Cemetery will be held at a later date. Family will receive visitors from 11:00 am Saturday until time of services. Those desiring may make contributions in Orlin's memory to DAV Chapter 3. Orlin was born in Port Huron, MI on September 24, 1932 the son of the late Russell and Nina (Hill) Bacheller. Answering the call of his country Orlin served in the US Navy from February 4, 1951 until February 5, 1955 as an Aviation Electronics Tech. Surviving are daughter: Terri and husband Mark Schall; son: Orlin D. and wife Sandy Bacheller Jr.; grandchildren: Faith, Sarah, Dean, Linda, Katie, James, Victoria, and Veronica; 5 great grandchildren; brother: Larry Bacheller; and many other relatives.
