Norman Oscar Davis Jr. of Richfield Township age 59 died Wednesday December 16, 2009 at his residence. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday December 20, 2009 at the Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel,Downtown Davison.Family will reciece visitors from 1-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Private burial will be held on Monday December 21, 2009 at Georgetown Twp. Cemetery Hudsonville, Michigan. Norm was born in Flint Michigan October 15, 1950 the son of the late: Norman & Wilma (Sullivan) Davis and had spentmost of his life in Flint and Ten years in the Hudsonville, Michigan area. He was joined in marriage to Carol Van Zyll December 6, 1969 and she preceded him in death August 2004. Answering the call of his country Norman served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was employed by the Yum Corporation retiring in May 2007. He is survived by son; Norman Oscar Davis III, grandchildren; Cassidy Grooms and Kyle Grooms. sisters; Karen Young, Kathy and husband Jeff Carroll, Charlene and husband Richard Myers, and a host of other relatives. He is preceded in death by daughter Bridget Grooms.
