Muril (Betty) Elizabeth Dosh of Davison, age 94, died Monday May 20, 2019. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday May 25, 2019 at First Baptist Church of Davison 208 Fourth St. Davison, Michigan. Dorothea Weist officiating, burial will follow at Davison Cemetery. Family will receive visitors from 4 – 8 pm Friday at the funeral home. Betty will lie in state at the church from 10 am Saturday until time of services. Those desiring may make contributions in her memory to First Baptist Church of Davison, or the charity of your choice.

Betty was born in Imlay City, Michigan on December 29, 1924 the daughter of the late Myrl and Elizabeth (Holcomb) Smith, and resided in the Davison area since 1980. She was joined in marriage to the love of her life Dr. Don Dosh on June 27, 1943 and he preceded her in death on February 2, 1979. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Davison, and had taught an adult Sunday School class for many years.

Betty was a life-long avid reader, enjoyed traveling, and was an outstanding grandmother. She loved playing card games (especially euchre and cribbage), dominoes, word games, and spending time with family and friends. She graduated from University of Michigan-Flint, Cum Laude in 1976 at the age of 51, accomplishment for which she was very proud.

Surviving are her children, Linda Gibson, Dr. Steven (Kathy) Dosh, Paul Dosh, Matthew (Rhonda) Dosh, Grandchildren: Deborah, George Jr., Kristofer, Austin, Alison, Teresa, Jennifer, Adrienne, and Kaitlin, 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, also her sisters, Kathryn Wadsworth and Judith Watz and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Dale, Ronald, Lloyd, and Richard Smith, and son-in-law George Gibson Sr. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Stonegate Health Campus Lapeer, and Reverence Hospice for their care and compassion for Betty.
