Mona was born on August 21, 1941 in Goodrich, Michigan to the late Clyde and Hazel Tody.

Mona grew up on the Tody Farm in Goodrich, enjoyed driving the tractor and caring for many animals on the family farm including chicken, sheep, hogs & cattle. That also meant helping with hay/straw bales, corn silage. She graduated from Goodrich High School in 1962.  She remained on the farm for several years assisting her parents and caring for them until their deaths in 1984.

In her spare time, Mona shared her talents and creativity with ceramics, sewing, needlepoint and cross stitch. Oftentimes, her creations were made without patterns. Her windowsill was often adorned with colorful ceramic flowerpots filled with beautiful violets.

In later years, Mona enjoyed her own home, always making friends, employment at Kroger in Clarkston.  She continued with her sewing, knitting and crocheting, always making a gift for someone.  Mona was a devout Christian and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Davison where she worshiped, attended Bible studies and volunteered in various ways throughout the week.

Mona was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde & Hazel Tody, grandparents Herman & Anna Tody & Herbert & Pauline Schiffman. Surviving are two younger sisters, Linda Tody of Spokane, WA and Judy and Robert Jones, and many friends especially at Lockwood in Davison, the Villages of Lapeer, Christ Lutheran Church in Hadley, and Trinity Lutheran Church in Davison.

No matter what the distance across the many miles of family, she enjoyed phone calls and always had an encouraging word plus lots of love to give.
