Michael Lewis "Mike" Phillips of Davison, age 70, died Sunday April 7, 2024 at Ascension-St. John Hospital, Detroit. Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place, no public services are being held. Private burial in Davison Cemetery will be held at a later date. Those desiring may make contributions in Mike's memory to the Flint Institute of Arts.

Mike was born in Flint Michigan on May 6, 1953 the son of the late Lewis "Lew" and Bonnie (Uptegraff) Phillips and has resided in Davison his entire life. Mike was a graduate of DHS Class of 1971; he continued his education at Ferris State College with two Bachelor's Degrees. He was an avid Racquetball player and a member of Davison Racquetball Club. He loved classic rock music. His love of learning and education continued in his later years as he took classes from Harvard University.  Mike had been employed as a Bacteriologist for McDonald Dairy until his retirement. He later returned to the work force as a driver for Grand Blanc Motor Car.

He leaves to cherish his memory children: David Banks, Amanda Crane, and Autumn Schultz (Ryan). He also leaves his loving grandchildren: Alison, Bella, Millie, Navy, and Roman.
