Maxine Louise Fitch

Maxine Louise Fitch of Burton, age 88, died Wednesday July 29, 2026 at her residence surrounded by family. Private family burial has taken place at Crestwood Cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions in Maxine’s memory to the charity of your choice.

Maxine was born in Flint Michigan on November 29, 1937 the daughter of Linus and Isabelle (Stamp) Gross, and has resided in Burton the last seven years, spending her retirement years in Bonita Springs, Florida. She was a graduate of Kearsley High School Class of 1956. Maxine loved cooking and had own and operated a Restaurant at Secord Lake in the mid- 90’s. Maxine was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles, and had been employed by General Motors, Fisher Body Division until her retirement.

She leaves to cherish her memory, son Marvin and wife Connie Riley, her loving grandchildren: Marvin Riley Jr., Andrea Riley-Brown and husband Chet, and Erik Riley. She also leaves great grandchildren: Fiona, Yosha, Ella, Davide, Rickey, Lincoln, Preston, Maxine’s life partner Gene Gerald, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and a host of friends. Maxine is preceded in death by sons: Terry Riley, Rickey Riley, and daughter Rhonda.
