Mavis Ruth Merrill of Flint, age 84, died Friday July 19, 2019 at her residence. Honoring her wishes cremation has taken place. No public services will be held. Private burial will be held on the family plot at Crestwood Cemetery at a later date. Those desiring may make contributions in Mavis's memory to Reverence Hospice or St. Jude Children Foundation.

Mavis was born in Hadley Township, Lapeer County, Michigan on October 19, 1934 the daughter of the late Lewis & Lila (Lehthers) Hardenburg and has resided in the Clio-Mt. Morris area most of her life. She loved to play cards and was active in several card clubs. Mavis truly enjoyed the outdoors in her early years and actively spent time traveling with her snowmobiling club and enjoying time with family and friends. Mavis also found time to perfect her hobby of quilting a past-time she truly loved.

Surviving is daughters; Anita (Chris) Jackson, Cheryl (Julio) Perez, and son Fred (Sheryl) Seidling Jr. She also leaves her many loving grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Also surviving is sister: Judith (George) Bowren, brother Elwood (Jean) Hardenburg, close sister-in-law Dorothy Hardenburg, and a host of extended family and friends.
