Matthew Joseph Zachara of Holly, formerly of Ortonville, age 39, died Sunday April 21, 2019 at Ascension-Genesys Medical Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Friday April 26, 2019 at St. Anne Catholic Church 825 S. Ortonville Rd. Ortonville Fr. Gerry Frawley, Celebrant. Those desiring may make contributions in Matthew's memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

Matthew was born in Detroit Michigan on September 14, 1979 the son of Joseph & Kathleen (Norris) Zachara and had resided in Holly the last year spending most of his life in the Ortonville area. He was joined in marriage to Dayna Poole on June 24, 2016. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman; he enjoyed and was considered to be a history buff. Matt had a great passion for music and was an accomplished drummer.

Surviving is wife Dayna, his parents Joseph & Kathleen Zachara, sister Michelle (Dean) Morales, his loving nieces Christina, and Hannah. He also leaves a host of extended family, friends and his loving pet Achilles. Please share your condolences at www.hansenfuneralhome.net
