Matthew Ivan Wilke of Davison age 19, died Wednesday January 1, 2014 tragically in Texas as result of an auto accident. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday January 10, 2014 at the Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Rev. Bruce Badder officiating. Cremation will follow at Sunset Hills. Family will receive visitors from 1-4 and 6-8 pm Thursday. Those desiring may make contributions in Matt's memory to Hansen Funeral Home. Matthew was born in Flint Michigan February 22, 1994 the son of Tod Wilke and Erica Sweet, and has resided in the Flint-Davison area his entire life. He was a graduate of Atherton High School and had served in the US Marines. He enjoyed Sky Diving and Skiing. Surviving is mother Erica and David Valley, father Tod Wilke and fiancée Terra Pittman, brothers; Tod Wilke II, and Bobby Craft, sisters; Samantha Valley, Sydney Valley, and Tori Craft. Grandmother Linda Linzey; Grandfather Paul Sweet; Grandmother Sharon and husband Bob Cripps; Grandfather Michael Wilke; Grandparents John and Jan Valley; Great grandmother: Eva Arlene LaFayette, and a host of other relatives.
