Mary Jo Godfrey of Davison age 61 died Monday January 11, 2010 at Brian's House Hospice. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday January 15, 2010 at the Fenton Road Baptist Church 4386 Fenton Rd, Flint. Pastor Michael J. Stallard officiating. Burial in Davison Cemetery. Family will receive visitors from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm Wednesday and Thursday at Hansen Funeral Home Downtown Davison. Mary Jo will lie in state at the church from 10:00 a.m. Friday until time of service. Those desiring may make contributions in Mary Jo's memory to the family. Mary Jo was born in Flint Michigan August 13, 1948 the daughter of the late Jack & Mary (George) Atkinson and had resided in the area for many years. She was joined in marriage to Gerald Godfrey on December 16, 1967. She was a member of Genesee County 4-H Club, served on the Michigan State Dairy Committee and was a member of the Genesee County Endowment Association. She is survived by husband Gerald; children, Kris (Matthew), Donald, Robert (Deanna), and Lori (Kirk). Nine grandchildren, siblings, Jack "Bud", and Kim (Rick).
