CARAWAY, Marion r. "Papa" of Burton age 77 died Friday May 22, 2009 at Maple Wood Manor, Clio. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday May 26, 2009 at the Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Pastor Bruce Badder officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors from 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday and Monday at the funeral home, and 10:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of services. Marion was born in Evansville Tennessee December 7, 1931 the son of the late Hezekiah and Eliza (Helton) Caraway, and had resided in the Davison-Burton area most of his life. He was joined in marriage to Evelyn Boyd May 19, 1953 in Rossville, Georgia. Marion was employed by General Motors Ternstedt and Fisher Body Divisions as General Supervisor for over twenty-eight years retiring in 1982. Surviving are wife; Evelyn. Sons; Marion Richard "Rick' and Nickie Caraway, Raymond Boyd and Carla Caraway, Robert Earl and LaVonne Caraway. Daughter; Katherine "Kathy "Visser and Russ. Ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Sisters; Rowena Phillips and Mildred Henderson and many other relatives in Tennessee.
