Margaret Hay Lawrie of Burton age 79 went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday December 6, 2018, surrounded with her family by her side.  A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 noon Monday December 10, 2018 at First Baptist Church 208 E. Fourth St. Dorothea Weist, Celebrant. Family will receive visitors from 10: 00 am Monday until time of services. Those desiring may make contributions in Margaret's memory to the Gideon's.

Margaret was born in Motherwell, Scotland on June 10, 1939 the daughter of the late Alexander & Annie (Hay) Stewart and has resided in the Burton area the last forty-five years. She was joined in marriage to Thomas "Scottie" Lawrie on October 17, 1959 in Scotland.

She is survived by her husband of fifty-nine year Thomas "Scottie, loving mother of Marchelle (Timm) Allen, and Gordon (Pamela) Lawrie, very loving grandmother of Kirk (Emily), Khyleigh (Zach), and Chloe.
