Mabel Bilbrey "Cake Lady" of Burton age 98 died Sunday April 24, 2011 at her residence. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Friday April 29, 2011 at the Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Rev. D. Jean Genaw officiating. Private inurnment at Meadowview Cemetery. Family will recieve visitors from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Thursday. Mabel was born September 8, 1912 in Lemington Ontario, Canada the daughter of the late, Robert and Mabel (Getty) Livingston and has resided in Burton the last several years, spending most of her life in the Davison area. She was joined in marriage to Ephriam Bilbrey in Detroit Michigan and he preceded her in death June 1989. Mabel was a member of the First Metaphysical Church of Davison, and a member of Davison VFW Aux #4087. Mabel was a minister of the First Metaphysical Church and worked as a cake decorator for numerous years. Surviving are children, Rev. D. Jean Genaw, Jerry Bilbrey, Don and wife Elayne Bilbrey. Five grandchildren and Thirteen great grandchildren. Sister Edith Polkinghorn, sister-in-law: Barbara Livingston. She is preceded in death by brother, William Livingston.
