Lynda Louise Pethers, 78, died suddenly Sunday, October 21, 2018. She was born on July 9, 1940 to Francis ("Harry") and Gertrude Morgan. She attended Davison High School, where she met the love of her life, Ed Pethers. They were married for more than 50 years, until his death in 2013.

When her children were all in school, Lynda began working as a nurse's aide at the old St. Joseph's Hospital in Flint. She later transferred to the central supply department, and was proud to work at the new Genesys facility when it opened.

Lynda enjoyed reading, knitting, sewing/quilting, cooking and baking. No one ever made a better apple pie. And no one, with the exception of her sisters, could laugh (or cackle) like she could. She loved rummage sales and shopping at Goodwill for great deals. She also faithfully watched her Detroit Tigers.

Besides her parents and husband, Lynda was preceded in death by her beloved son, John, her sister, Nancy, and her brothers Dave, Joe, Tom, and Mike. She is survived by her daughters, Sherry (Clair Carty) and Kathy Pethers, sisters Marion (Jim) Arnold and Marilyn (Ray) Fournier, brothers John and Dennis Morgan, brothers-in-law Bob and Mike (Kathy) Pethers, and Ted Turnwald, sisters-in-law Ruth (Paul) Avitts, Beth Morgan, Carol Morgan, Janet Morgan and Rita Morgan, granddaughters Molly (Matt) Bato, Hannah (Isabel Suarez) Klemkow, and Sarah (Christopher) Griffin, grandson Eric Pethers, great-grandson Nathan Pethers, great-granddaughter Persephone Carter, and many cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins. Lynda's constant companion, Patti the dog, also survives her.

Arrangements are being handled by Hansen Funeral Home 421 N. Main St. Davison. Visitation will be held from 3:00 – 7:00 pm Friday evening at the funeral home. Services are scheduled for 11:00 am Saturday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 Dayton St. Davison, with a luncheon to follow.
