Loyal Steven "Stick" "Norton" Melton, age 69, of Davison, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2026, at McLaren-Flint.

Born in Detroit, Michigan, Loyal spent most of his life in Michigan. After 34 years together, he and Tammy Killingbeck were married on June 22, 2025. Loyal worked for General Motors for 30 years and was a proud member of the UAW.

In his younger years, Loyal was a thrill-seeker who loved roller coasters, go-karts, and water slides, creating countless fun memories with his children. He had a great sense of humor, was always in a good mood, and could tell a joke that kept everyone laughing. Loyal loved music and spending time with his friends, jamming on guitar, drums, and bass, with the guitar being his specialty, and he never passed up a good game of poker. He also enjoyed technology and spent many hours tinkering with gadgets and smart devices. Loyal loved God and was true to his name, loyal in heart, steadfast in friendship, and devoted to the people he loved.

He is survived by his children: Serena, Heather, and Randy (Tiffany); grandchildren: Dan, Sienna, Ryan, Yasmin, Kelsey, Luke, Austin, and Autumn; great-grandchild: Siella; sisters: Diane and Robin; brothers: Richie, Jeff, and Greg; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Hazel Melton, and his twin daughters, Selena and Sabrina.

A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, January 25, 2026, at Hansen Funeral Home Downtown Davison, Rev. Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiating with burial at Greenwood Cemetery, Hadley, Michigan. Family will receive visitors from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service on Sunday at the funeral home.
