Lillian June Olszewski of Davison, age 94, died Monday April 18, 2016 at the Pines of Burton. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon Thursday April 21, 2016 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Pastor Ron Stier officiating. Burial at Evergreen Cemetery. Family will receive visitors from 4-8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions in Lillian's memory to Genesee County Humane Society or the Alzheimer Foundation. Lillian was born in Flint Michigan on March 31, 1922 the daughter of the late: Ernest & Clara (Eberling) Chapel and has resided in the Davison area the last forty years. She was joined in marriage to Kazimierz Olszewski on February 16, 1947 and he preceded her in death on October 26, 2000. Lillian was a graduate of Flint Central High School Class of 1940. Surviving are children; Fay Newman, Darlene Newman, Bonnie (Dennis) Doyle, Skip (fiancée' Mary) Olszewski, and step-daughter Sandy Kitchen. She also leaves seven grandchildren, several great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and sister-in-law Bronia Olszewski-Smith. The family would like to thank Llillian's neighbors Sue and Deb. The VG's Store in Davison for the special care they extended to their mother, and the staff of the Pines of Burton Memory Care for their care and compassion to Lillian.
