Leta Elsie Taeckens, of Davison age 93, died Saturday December 17, 2016. Honoring her wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday February 25, 2017 at St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church 1523 N. Oak Rd. Davison, MI 48423. Pastor Sue Colavincenzo officating. Those desiring may make contributions in Leta's memory to St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church. Leta was born in Swartz Creek Michigan on December 19, 1922 the daughter of the late: Clare S. & Clara M. (Bell) Bloss, and has resided in the Davison area the last fourteen years. She was joined in marriage to Paul Emerson Taeckens on April 10, 1942 and he preceded her in death in January 1997. Leta always enjoyed family and friends. She had a love for music and spent time singing with the Flint Community Choir. She was very active in her life backpacking, photography, and cooking were some of her greatest hobbies. Leta was a graduate of Mary Crapo High School in Swartz Creek, was a member of the McDowell Club, and was formerly a member of St. Barnabus Episcopal Church, and was a member of St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church in Davison for many years. Surviving is son, Dale Taeckens, sister Nancy & husband David Nicolette, grandchildren; Stacy Toepper, Breanne Toepper, Justine Nicolette, and several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friend. She is preceded in death by her sisters; Gwen Perkins, Florence Ezell, Ilene Angle, and brother FD and wife Dorothy Bloss. Share your
