Leon Loraine Adams of Genesee Township age, 89, died Tuesday September 23, 2014. A gathering time will be held from 4-7 pm Friday at the funeral home. Private burial at Great Lakes National Cemetery will be held at a later date. Leon was born in Flint Michigan on March 16, 1925 her daughter of Arthur and Marie (Schorck) Plant and has resided in the Flint area her entire life. She was joined in marriage to William Richard Adams on August 8, 1947 and he preceded her in death on March 1, 2013. Leon had attended St. Mary Catholic School in Flint and was a Graduate of Flint Central High Class of 1943. Answering the call of her country she proudly served in the US Navy during WW II. She had worked at several of the local hospitals at a nurse, and had volunteered at Crossroads Village for over ten years. She leaves to cherish her memory son Daniel Adams, and daughter Michele Marie & husband Vic McFillan. She also leaves seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives.
