Laura Ann Bernethy, of Davison age 70 died Tuesday March 21, 2012 in Flint. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Tuesday March 27, 2012 at the Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Pastor Wally Rose officiating. Family will receive visitors from 2-4 & 6-8 pm Sunday and Monday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions in Laura's memory to the family. Laura was born in Flint Michigan March 27, 1941 the daughter of the late Arthur Bernethy, Lillian Bernethy Butler and Joshlyn Butler. Laura's favorite thing was spending time with her family and having a great time. She spent a good portion of her life in Glennie, Michigan and that was her favorite place to take her numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren. Trips to the beach, sledding down the hill, or going to the dances at the Glennie Town Hall were among her favorite times. Laura is survived by her daughter Patty Bernethy; grandchildren Megan, Mariah, Brock, Michaela, and Blake Bernethy. Siblings: Josephine (Andy) Hallen, James (Charlene) Bernethy, Patrick (Judith) Bernethy, Donna (Warren) Mervyn, Dena (Ray) Arneson, and brother-in-law, Rick Markee. Three generations of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She is preceded in death by her youngest sister, Linda Markee and brother-in-law Charles Bender, also her best partners in crime Sharon Falcon, Mary Soper, and Larry Brown.
