Kenneth LaVern Hollenback, of Flint age 84 went to be with the Lord Monday July 25, 2011 at his residence. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Friday July 29, 2011 at the Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Rev. Mark Kingen officiating, with burial in Dawn Memorial Gardens. Family will receive visitors from 5-8 pm Wednesday and 1-4 and 6-8 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions in Ken's memory to the Russellville Wesleyan Church. Kenneth was born in Owosso Michigan November 23, 1926 the son of the late: Nick & Grace (VanHorn) Hollenback, and has resided in the area most of his life. He was joined in marriage to Celia Haynes on January 14, 1956 in Dryden Michigan. Answering the call of his country Ken served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a active member of Russellville Wesleyan Church. Ken served as the Caretaker of Wesleyan Woods Campground for thirteen years, and had been employed by General Motors Buick Division for over thirty-four years.He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 55 years Celia, children: Janet McDaniel, and Nancy & Jim Reid.
