Kathryn Louise Vennie, born on May 18, 1938 in Flint, Michigan the daughter of the late Lynn and Bernice (Dyball) Scafe, passed away peacefully in Bushnell, Florida on Friday July 14, 2023.

Kate worked at General Motors in Flint along with her husband Claude Duwayne Vennie for 24 years before retiring in 1989. Kate loved to travel and toured the United States extensively for many years, but most of all, she loved her family and friends and was always the central figure organizing and planning events to make sure that everyone who attended would have a wonderful time.

Kate leaves her loving and devoted husband Claude, her son Michael Duwayne Vennie, daughter Lisa Lynelle Stalker (Pete), 7 grandchildren including Michael Vennie (Nicole), Mathew Vennie (Angela), Tiffany Vennie, David Vennie (Carolina), Daniel Vennie, Ashley Hempton (Ryan) and David Stalker. She also was blessed with many great grandchildren who she all loved dearly.

Kate was preceded in death by both of her parents, her brother Wendell Scafe, sister Roberta Vamos and her oldest daughter Cheryl Diane Vennie.

Family will receive visitors on Saturday July 22, 2023 from 11:00am-1:00pm at Hansen Funeral Home Downtown Davison, with a Memorial Service at 1:00 pm, Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiating.  Please share your condolences at www.hansenfuneralhome.net
