Kathryn Elaine Hamner

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Kathryn Hamner. She was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and Nana, who left the earth at the age of 62, surrounded by all her family in the comfort of her own home.

She was a devoted wife to her loving husband and a proud mother to her two daughters. But perhaps her greatest joy came from being called Nana to her three cherished grandchildren, who filled her days with laughter, love, and purpose.

She will be remembered for her gentle heart, free spirit, and unwavering dedication to her family and friends. Whether through quiet moments of care or the countless memories she created with those she loved, her presence was a source of comfort and strength to all who knew her.

Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the values she instilled, and the love she gave so freely.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Hamner; two daughters, Cayla Hamner and Lisa (Jose) Diaz; her three grandchildren, Sonny, Kyla, and Nova; her father, Ronald Maurer; and her brother, David Maurer. Her family will continue to honor her life by carrying her love forward. She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Anne Seal; their beloved dog, Nick; and her stepmother, Laura Maurer. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Thursday March 26, 2026 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Pastor Jeffrey Frechette Sr. officiating: with private inurnment at a later date. Family will receive visitors from 12 -4 pm Wednesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services on Thursday. A memorial luncheon will be held following the services at 1:30 pm Thursday March 26, 2026 at St. Mark Lutheran Church 5073 Daly Blvd. Flint Michigan 48506.
