Kathleen Louise "Kathy" Nowland of Richfield Township age 69, died Saturday February 2, 2013 at Genesys Hospice Care Center, Goodrich. Funeral services will be held at 5; 00 pm Wednesday February 6, 2013 at the Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison, Elder Lola Robson officiating, with private burial at Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date. The family will receive visitors from 12: 00 noon Wednesday until time of services. Those desiring may make contributions in Kathy's memory to the American Cancer Society. Kathleen was born in Caro, Michigan on November 15, 1943 the daughter of the late; Max & Mabel (Ewald) Marker, and has resided in the Davison area most of her life. She was joined in marriage to Marvin Nowland December 1, 1962, Kathy's love for nature was exemplified by her love of gardening and with her numerous flower gardens she had and shared with family and friends. She was a member of Davison Eagles Auxiliary #3589, American Legion Auxiliary Post #267, and the TOPS. Kathy had been employed by Davison Oil & Gas for over twenty years until her retirement. She leaves to cherish her memory husband, Marv. Children Kurt and wife Paula Nowland, and Tina and husband Mike Braley. Grandchildren; Angela and husband Brian Smith, Megan Nowland, Marco Rodriguez, Patrick Rodriguez, Mateo Rodriguez, Rudy Rodriguez, and Diego Rodriguez. Great Grandchildren: Tyler Smith, Quinn Smith, Zarian Rodriguez, Arianna Rodriguez, Ava Rodriguez,Castenzio Rodriguez, Celisia Rodriguez, Prayuor Rodriguez, and Orellhano Rodriguez. Sisters Ruth and husband Norman Rhodes, and Sandra and husband Merlin Kramer, Sister-in –law Mary Marker and a host of other relatives. She is preceded in death by Brother Richard Marker.
