Karen Sue DeLong of Davison age 83 died Tuesday October 21, 2025 at Stonegate Assisted Living in Lapeer surrounded by her family. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday October 28, 2025 at 3:00pm at Hansen Funeral Home Downtown Davison, Pastor Angel Garcia officiating with burial at Stiles Cemetery at a later date. Family will receive visitors from 1:00 until the time of services. Those desiring to make contributions in Karen's memory may make them to Carriage Town Ministries.
Karen was born in Madison, West Virginia on April 25, 1942 the daughter of the late Hallie and Irene (McClure) Miller and resided in the Davison area most of her life. She was joined in marriage to Harry DeLong on October 24, 1980. Karen was a member of Richfield Church of the Nazarene. Karen enjoyed cooking, canning, baking, taking walks with her husband Harry, boating, and being around her family. Karen was in banking for many years before retiring in 2001 at the Chase Bank in Downtown Davison.
She leaves to cherish her memory husband of forty five years: Harry; daughters: Sheri and husband Earl Tate, and Cindy and husband Rory Sayers; stepson: David and wife Debbie DeLong, and stepdaughter: Brenda Fifield; 12 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren; a host of extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by brothers: Gene Ryan and Chuck Ryan; sister: Linda Miller-Besaw. Please share your condolences at www.HansenFuneralHome.net
