Karan Sue Maurina of Burton age 64 died Friday February 21, 2020 at McLaren-Lapeer Regional. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 noon Friday February 28, 2020, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 404 Dayton St. Davison, Fr. John Machiorlatti, Celebrant. Cremation will follow at Sunset Hills Crematory.  Family will receive visitors from 3-8 pm Thursday at the funeral home; with a parish scripture service will be held at 7 pm. Karan will lie in state at the church from 11:00 am Friday until time of services. Those desiring may make contributions in Karan's memory to Hurley's Children's Foundation.

Karan was born in Flint Michigan on September 6, 1955 and has resided in the Burton area most of her life. She was a graduate of Bentley High School Class of 1974. Karan had been an active union member, and also a member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary #4087. She was employed by General Motors SPO Division until her retirement. She later became a bus driver for Davison Community Schools.

She leaves to cherish her memory sons; Christopher Hubler, and John & wife Tiffany Bishop. She also leaves grandchildren Sam, and Marek, Karan's siblings Anne & husband Larry Prevo, Dave & wife Judy Love, and a host of extended family; special friend Debbie Hart.
