Burton, Mrs. June Ann – age 80, of Burton, Michigan and Omaha, Arkansas, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, February 16, 2017. June was born in Greene County, Arkansas, on June 4, 1936, the daughter of the late Cecil Hayden and Ethel Newton (Joyner) Tolley. She married Raymond H. Burton on August 19th, 1968, in Flint, Michigan. He preceded her in death on January 8th, 1999. June was a nurse in the Flint area for many years before retiring to the Ozark Mountains to fish and enjoy the simple life with Ray in 1983. She loved to bake and work in her garden, and enjoyed finding antiques in out-of-the- way places. She made friends wherever she went, and dearly loved her church family in Arkansas. Left to cherish her memory are her son Glenn (Denise) Smith of Davison, MI, her daughter Donna (Ted) Porter of Anderson, SC, sister Francis (Bobby) Ellis of Colt, Arkansas, granddaughter Kellye (John) Walsh of Davison, MI, grandson Casey Smith of Jackson, MI, and great-grandsons Logan and Jack. She is also survived by lifelong friends Al and Marlene Jordan of Swartz Creek, MI, and many nieces and nephews. June was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ray, brothers Harold and Hurshel Tolley, and sisters Freda Franks and Nina Cupp. June has been cremated according to her wishes.
