Joyce Marie Shield of Goodrich and Davison age 75 died Saturday April 9, 2016 at McLaren- Flint. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm Wednesday April 13, 2016 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Pastor Sue Colavincenzo officiating, with private burial in Pine Grove Cemetery. Family will receive visitors from 12:00 noon Wednesday until time of services. Those desiring may make contributions in Joyce's memory to her family. Joyce was born in Goodrich Michigan on April 30, 1940 the daughter of Charles & Clara (Rabdeaux) McCormick, and had been a resident of Goodrich most of her life. She was joined in marriage to Paul Shields on October 4, 1958 and he preceded her in death in 1987. She was a graduate of Goodrich Community Schools and a member of St. Dunstan Episcopal Church. Joyce had been employed by Goodrich Community Schools as a bus driver until her retirement in the mid 1980's. She leaves to cherish her memory sons; Charles (Mariline) Shields and Thomas Shields. She also leaves ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, her sister, Karen Offenbecher, and a host of other relatives.
