Joyce W. Prosch, of Davison, age 97, died February 6, 2016 at Kra-Nur Manor in Burton. Loving wife of Harold, and mother of Phyllis, Virginia, and Eldon, spent her life caring for her husband, children, and grandchildren. Joyce was born in Flint on April 17, 1918, the daughter of Simeon and Lena Vining. She married Harold Prosch in November 1936 and became his constant companion. She went hunting and fishing with him and learned to garden, raise chickens, and made maple syrup and honey at his side. Joyce was an avid swimmer (to age 94), cards and bingo player, all the while keeping her grandchildren in beautiful pattern knitted sweaters. She spent winters in Bushnell Florida and will be missed by her many friends, especially Ila Cobb, who has been her best friend for years. Visitation will be Monday February 8, 2016 from 4-8 pm at Hansen Funeral Home, Davison. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday at the funeral home with visitation 1 hour prior to the services. Burial will follow at Flint Memorial Park. Joyce is survived by daughter Phyllis (Dan) Cupal, Virginia Dail, and son Eldon (Diane) Prosch. Also she leaves 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson. She was preceded in death by husband Harold, sisters Agnes (Allen) Ginger, Helena (Henry) Smith, and son-in-law: Stan Dail. The family would like to thank the staff at Kra-Nur Manor.
