Eva Joyce Betts of Davison age 83 died Sunday February 5, 2012 at Genesys Convalescent Center. Private burial at Davison Cemetery at a later date. Family will receive visitors from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions in Joyce's memory to the Davison Historical Center or St. John Family Center. Joyce was born in Flint Michigan Jan. 6, 1929 the daughter of the late; Arthur L. & Eila (Courts) Castle and has resided in the Davison area most of her life. She was joined in marriage to Coral "Corky" Betts May 25, 1948 and he preceded her in death Nov. 10, 1991. Joyce was a graduate of Davison High School Class of 1946, she was a member of the Red Hat Society, Davison VFW Auxillary #4087 and Davison America Legion Auxiliary 267, and she also was a member of Davison Alumni Association and had been active for many years with the Davison Historical Society. Joyce enjoyed Sewing, crafts, and travel. Eva always enjoyed a great crossword puzzle, She was a volunteer at St. John Family Center. Surviving are children; Tim & Candice Betts of Davison, Jeff & Elaine Betts of Mt. Pleasant, Dan & Lorri Betts of Lapeer. Grandchildren, Theresa & Tony Monastra, , Neal & Amy Betts, Stephanie Betts, Christopher & Deidra Betts, Derek & Lauren Betts, and Jordan Betts. Great Grandchildren: Jennah Betts, Aubrey Betts, Danika Betts, and Baylee Mae Betts. Grandchildren and great grandchildren: David June, Megan June, Lindsay (Ryan) Redrick, Cade, Trent, Amber Lynn, Gavin, Kyleigh, Alana, and Jackson. Brother; Arthur Castle, Sister Gloria & Paul Isaac.
