Joseph Stanley Tomczyk of Grand Blanc age 95 died Sunday February 12, 2012 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 am Saturday February 18, 2012 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Burton. Fr. Steve Anderson, Celebrant. Those desiring may make contributions in Joe's memory to the Children Miracle Network at Hurley Medical Center. Joseph was born in Poland November 17, 1916 the son of the late; Anthony and Stella (Kuzawa) Tomczyk and had resided in the Flint- Grand Blanc area most of his life. He was joined in marriage to Josephine Granger in 1940 and she preceded him in death November 2009. Joe was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and the Croatian-Slovene Club. He owned and operated the Horn's Bump Shop until his retirement. Surviving are sons, Russell & wife Kathy, and John. Daughter, Gayle & husband Alex. Brother-in law, Bruno: Seven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren. Sisters, Genevieve and Helen: brothers Ted, Tony, Stan, and a host of other relatives. He is preceded in death by daughter Janet, grandson Brian, and brother Tom.
