Obituary

Joseph William "Joe" Mandeville of Millington, formerly of Flint, age 71, passed away Friday August 19, 2022 in Ann Arbor, surrounded by his family. A Celebration of his life will be held at 6:00 pm Friday August 26, 2022 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski, Celebrant with private burial at a later date. Family will receive visitors from 1:00 pm Friday until time of services. Those desiring may make contributions in Joe's memory to the Animal Rescue or Palliative Care Group of your choice.

Joe was born in Lansing Michigan the son of Don and Lou Mandeville, having resided in the Flint area for many years before "moving to the country" in Millington the last twenty four years. Joe was a graduate of Holy Redeemer Catholic High, and it was there he meet the love of his life, Rose Trombley and they have shared over fifty years of marriage. Answering the call of his country Joe proudly served in the Army National Guard. Joe was a man full of kindness, who loved his children, grandchildren, and family. He had a love of animals, spending time reading and woodcarving. Joe was a "Master of Tinkering", he could be often found in the basement at his work bench, working on the project of the week, and never a task or project he couldn't fix. Joe enjoyed the outdoors and his favorite past time was golfing with his Dad and Brother. He had been employed by Tom Ryan Distributing Company, until his retirement.

Joe was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, his greatest joy in life was his family, both immediate and extended. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Rose, children: Janine and husband Dan Marshall, Daniel and wife Olena Mandeville, and Katherine "Kat" and husband Chet Dumanois. He also leaves his loving grandchildren: Hunter, Kayla, Cody, Gwendolyn, and Lucian. Surviving also are sisters: Mary Ellen Kane, Lora Entrekin, sister-in-law Nancy Mandeville, his loving puppy and companion Liddy, and a host of extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by parents Don & Lou Mandeville, brother James "Jim" Mandeville, and father-in-law and mother-in-law Robert and Cecelia Trombley, brother-in-law Lonnie Entrekin, and sister-in-law Monica Deringer.
