Joseph Walter Itchue of Burton, age 91, died Thursday March 23, 2017 at his residence with his wife of 67 years by his side.  Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place. Private burial of ashes will be held at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Gladwin at a later date. Joe was born in Detroit Michigan on August 31, 1925 the son of the late: John & Eva (Mohr) Itchue, and has resided in Burton since 2013 spending many years in Gladwin. He was joined in marriage to Doris "Dolly" Albert on February 20, 1950 in Pontiac Michigan.  Answering the call of his country Joe served in the US Navy during WW II. He was a proud member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He had been employed by General Motors Pontiac Motor Division until is retirement on Aug. 1, 1977. He leaves to cherish his memory wife Doris "Dolly" daughter Vallarie (Dwight) Dillon, grandson Joseph Dillon and Jamie, his great granddaughters Abbie and Anna.  Also surviving is nieces Sharon (Dave) Curl, Linda (Rick) Goes, and his siblings; Catherine (Ted) Forton & family, and Mary Ann (Tom) Hendry & family.  Share your condolences at www.hansenfuneralhome.net
