Joseph Arthur Covert of Genesee, age 85, died Thursday April 20, 2017 at Bavarian Comfort Care, Bridgeport. Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place. Private burial in Flint Memorial Park. Those desiring may make contributions in Joe's memory to the Alzheimer's Foundation. Joseph was born in Flint Michigan on July 11, 1931 the son of the late Emmet & Beatrice (Robinson) Covert and has resided in the Genesee area his entire life. He was joined in marriage to M. Joan Morgan in 1956 and she preceded him in death in 2008. Joe was employed by General Motors Buick Division for thirty years retiring in 1980. He is survived by son David and wife Joanie Covert, grandchildren Lisa Harkins, Leah Cantu, Adam Rudy, and great grandchildren; Gage Hydorn, Austin Hydorn, Andrew Rudy, and Rilley Harkins.
