John D. Weidner, formerly of Davison and Mesa, Arizona age 93 died Friday July 10, 2010 in Santa Cruz, California. Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place and no services will be held. John was born in Summit City, Michigan June 8, 1917. He had resided in the Davison area until 1980 and then spent most of his retirement years in Mesa, Arizona. He was joined in marriage to Geraldine Napper in 1941, and she preceded him in death in 2002. John had been a member of Genesee County Masonic Rites and the Bay City Consistory, He had bee active in Boy Scout Troop 102 in Davison, and had served on the Davison Township Planning Commission. John also was a member of the Davison Kiwanis and had served as Lt.Govorner of the Michigan Kiwanis. He had been employed by General Motors AC Spark Plug Division for over forty years retiring in 1974. He leaves to cherish his memory daughter; Linda and husband Tom Donaldson of Davison, son; Doug Weidner of California, grandchildren; Danielle Donaldson of California, and Thomas Donaldson of Arizona. Brother; Robert Weidner of Washington, and a host of many relatives. He is preceded in death by mother Venus Ivey, siblings; Azalia Limban, Loraine Severn, Monte Weidner, and George Weidner.
