John William Waters Jr. of Metamora, formerly of Illinois, died Saturday April 20, 2019, in Metamora Michigan. Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place. No public services are being held, private burial will be held on the family plot in Illinois on a later date.

John was born in Jerseyville Illinois on November 11, 1929 the son of the late John W. & Jane M. (Hinman) Waters and had resided in Illinois most of his life and the last several years in Metamora.  Answering the call of his country John proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War. John spent most of his life farming.

He is survived by children: John (Deb) Waters of Flint, Joe Waters of Millington, Jeri Wilson of Hale, Jenelle Sutton of Hale, Paul Waters of Illinois, and Connie Water of Illinois. He also leaves his many grandchildren, great grandchildren, sister Nancy and a host of extended family. He is preceded in death by son Jeff Water, brother Jim and sister Lily Jane.
