John Walter Roberts of Davison, age 56, died Friday June 9, 2017 at his residence. Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Liturgy will be held at 4:00 pm Friday June 16, 2017 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison.  Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski officiating.  Private burial in St. John Cemetery.  Family will receive visitors from 11:00 am Friday until time of services. Those desiring may make contributions in John's memory to the family. John was born in Flint Michigan on November 29, 1960 the son of Edward & Isabelle (Griffin) Roberts, and has resided in the Davison area his entire life.  John was a graduate of Davison High School Class of 1979, and had worked as a Journeyman Carpenter for over thirty five years.  John had become a master woodcrafter specializing in shipbuilding. John had a passion for all types of music, and he played guitar, he and his brother Jeff both played together in bands around the area. He was a member of Davison Eagles #3589 of Davison;   Surviving is mother Isabelle, and his siblings: Cindy (Dave) Foss, Ed (Shelly) Roberts, Tony (Kori) Roberts, and Maryann Roberts. He also leaves his nieces and nephews. Jason Palmer, Reed Roberts, Adam & Kim Roberts, Stacie & John Joinville, and Stephanie Carpenter, Andy Roberts, Eddie Roberts, Ed & Jill Foss, Jeremy Foss, and Bryan Foss. His great nieces: Alexis, Addison, Ellie Mae, and special friend Patty. He is preceded in death by his father Edward Roberts, and brother Jeff Roberts.  John had many friends and thank you all for being a part of his life. He was the greatest brother and uncle anyone could ever have and was a blessing having him as part of our family. You were special my brother and will forever be in our hearts. You were loved by all. Special thanks to the Davison Eagles friends, where John was a member. To nephew Adam and all John's associates and friends at IINN where he worked  as a maintenance-carpenter the past 4 years.
