John Henry Landry Sr. of Clio formerly of Davison age 87 died Thursday Feb. 9, 2012 at Lutz VA Medical Center, Saginaw. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Monday February 13, 2012 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Pastor Marybelle Haynes officiating: followed by burial in Davison Cemetery with Military Honors. Family will receive visitors from 3:00 – 8:00 pm Sunday and 10:00 am Monday until time of services at the funeral home. John was born in Kirkland New York March 24, 1924 the son of the late Joseph & Mary (Vanderland) Landry, and has resided in the Clio-Davison area most of his life. He was joined in marriage to Patricia Irwin on November 28, 1983. Answering the call of his country John served in both the Navy and Army Air Force during the WWII and Korean Wars. He had been a member of Davison VFW Post 4087 and the Birch Run VWF Post. John was also a member of Davison Masonic Lodge 236, and had been employed as a Operating Engineer for over 55 years with Local #324. Surviving is wife Pat, sons: John Landry Jr. and Joe & Kendra Landry. Step-children: Kirk Gardner, Scott & Kathy Gardner, and Trace & Dee Dee Gardner.
