STEARNS, Joanne L. of Davison age 61 died Wednesday March 28, 2012 after a twenty-four year courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis, at Brian's House Hospice. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 noon Monday April 2, 2012 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 404 Dayton St. Davison. Fr. Carl Simon, Celebrant. Burial in New Calvary Cemetery. Family will receive visitors from 1-4 and 6-8 pm Sunday with a parish rosary at 7:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Joanne will lie in state at the church from 11::00 am Monday until time of services. Those desiring may make contributions in Joanne's memory to the Michigan Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Joanne was born in Flint Michigan February 26, 1951 the daughter of the late; Michael & Jenny (Gala) Mandrick, and has resided in the Davison area since 1981. She was joined in marriage to Robert "Bob" Stearns on September 12, 1970 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flint. Joanne was employed by General Motors Truck & Bus Division for eighteen years. She is survived by husband Bob, son Ryan Stearns and Beth Cebula, grandson Ryan Jr. and granddaughter Leann. Brother Mike and wife Rose Mandrick; sisters Leona and husband Peter Elasivich, Pat Mandrick, Michaeline and husband Reid Vandevelde, and a host of other relatives. She is preceded in death by twin son's Bobby & Ricky in 1977, Brother Leo Mandrick, sisters: Dorothy Mandrick, Mary Mandrick, Nancy Wodowski, and Ginger Mandrick.
