Joan Marie Lang of Richfield Township, age 86, died Friday October 5, 2018 at the family farm where she lived for 68 years, surrounded by loved ones.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1: 00 pm Friday October 12, 2018 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 404 Dayton St. Davison. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski, Celebrant, with Rite of Committal to follow at St. John Cemetery. Family will receive visitors from 1:00 – 3:00 pm and 5:00 – 8: 00 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Joan will lie in state at the church from 12:00 noon Friday until time of services. Those desiring may make contributions in her memory to St. John Catholic Church.

Joan was born in Flint Michigan on December 21, 1931 the daughter of the late Frank & Ida (Sharboneau) Madore and has resided in the Davison area all her life. She was joined in marriage to Gordon Arthur Lang on August 26, 1950 at St. John Catholic Church and he preceded her in death on April 11, 2016. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, and had served her community for many years as a member of the Davison Area Ambulance Authority. She had been employed by Dr. Richard Plymale as a Dental Hygienist.

Surviving are children: Dr. Rita Lang. Shelia & Wes Powell, Gordie Lang, and daughter-in-law Holly Lang. She also leaves her grandchildren: Russell & Chelsea, William Jr. & Megan, Bryan & Jill, Heidi, Halicia, Brad & Carrie, Jamie & Drew, Jesse & Brittany, and seventeen great grandchildren. Also surviving are siblings: Eugene & Erma Madore, Margaret Fromwiller, Yvonne & Jim Gerow, Norma & Harvey Hubbard, sister-in-law Peggy Madore and a host of extended family and friends.
