Obituary

Jim "Stu" Crystal of Burton and Charlevoix died peacefully at his home Sunday January 26, 2025 surrounded by family. Jim was an Iron Worker for over 30 years with Locals 426 and 25 with the last ten years owning ReBar Inc with his friend and business partner Lane Sadler. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Jim could make a new friend wherever he was. Throughout his life he loved classic cars, riding Harley's, attending auctions, enjoying summers in Charlevoix, tinkering in his garage for hours and hours, cheering on his grand kids at their sporting events, telling lots and lots of stories, and traveling all over the world with his wife Linda with a special love for their cruises and family trips to Hawaii. He was past Exalted Ruler of Flint Elks 222 and leaves behind many special friends there and the Charlevoix Elks Club.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years Linda; son: Jim (Kelly) Crystal, grandchildren: Cameron (Sara) Crain, Mattison Crystal (Spencer Vass), Flynn, Darby and Greer Crystal . Great grandchildren: Willow, Cameron, and Charlie Crain. Sister: Donna Sarhan; his special nieces: Theresa, Chris, Carol, Dena, Stephanie, and Tiffanie; and a host of extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents: Willard and Elsie Crystal. A celebration of his life will be held at the Flint Elks Lodge # 222 7177 E.
