Jesse Ruff of Davison Township age 78, passed away Wednesday March 18, 2015 at his residence. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday March 21, 2015 at the Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Rev. Dan Colthorp officiating, with burial in Pinegrove Cemetery. Family will receive visitors from 5-8 pm Friday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions in Jesse's memory to the charity of your choice. Jesse was born in Greenville South Carolina on November 14, 1936 the son of the late Marshall & Ella (Gosnell) Ruff and has resided in the Davison area most of his life. He was joined in marriage to Reva Britting on June 24, 1961 at the Elba Baptist Church. He had been employed by General Motors Chevrolet Division for over thirty years retiring in 1987. Surviving is wife Reva, children Jeffrey (Kelly) Ruff, Gregory Ruff, and David (Tracie) Ruff. He also leaves his grandchildren Joshua Ruff, Jeremiah Ruff, Chelsea Ruff, and Justin Ruff. His sister Betty (James) Smith of Greer South Carolina.. Also his loving in-laws: Lena (Russell) Colthorp, Edsel (Roberta) Britting, Norrine (Louie) Schwerin, Harold (Ruth) Britting and numerous extended family members.
