Jerry Walter Sageman of Columbiaville, age 83, died Friday March 13, 2015 at McLaren-Lapeer Regional. Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday March 18, 2015 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison, Pastor Lisa Saliga officiating. Family will receive visitors from 11:00 am Wednesday until time of services. Those desiring may make contributions in Jerry's memory to the charity of your choice. Jerry was born in Prescott Michigan on August 29, 1931 the son of the late Walter & Mae (Van Sickle) Sageman. He was joined in marriage to Betty Daniels on June 30, 1951 in Prescott Michigan. Answering the call of his country Jerry served in the US Army Military Police during the Korean War. He had been employed by General Motors Buick Division for thirty years retiring in 1985. He then was employed also by Genesee Bay Construction. He leaves to cherish his memory wife Betty, children; Michael & Nancy Sageman, Vicki & Tom Dumler, and Kathy & Joe Poniatowski. He also leaves grandchildren Patrick & Angela Dumler, Nick & Katie Dumler, Dustin & Emily Sageman, Katie Poniatowski, Sta's Poniatowski, his great grandchildren Allison Dumler, Matthew Dumler, Maria Dumler, Natalie Sageman, and Claire Sageman. His beloved pet, companion, and friend Susie. Siblings; Shirley Cayton, Bill & Emma Sageman, Russ & Marti Sageman, Carole Dittenber, and a host of other relatives.
