Jerry Wayne Jepsen of Boyne City age 83 died Monday September 7, 2015 in Davison. Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place. No public services are being held. Those desiring may make contributions in Jerry's memory to the Crooked Tree District Library, Walloon Lake, Michigan. Jerry was born in Petoskey Michigan on August 12, 1932 the son of the late Lenard & Evelyn (Young) Jepsen, spending most of his life in the Flint area until his retirement in 1981 to Boyne City. He was joined in marriage to Darlene Dickey in 1953 and she preceded him in death in 2005. Answering the call of his Country Jerry served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Boyne City American Legion Post, and had been employed by General Motors Chevrolet Manufacturing Division for over thirty years retiring in 1981. Surviving are children; Mike (Brenda) Jepsen, Patricia (Henry) Childers, Si (Sandy Davavich) Jepsen, Connie (Mike) Reynolds, and Lorie (Randy) Roy. He also leaves six grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren, brother Dane Jepsen, sister Carol Barnes, and a host of other family members.
