Jerry Lynn Gillean January 4, 1955 – June 11, 2026
Jerry Lynn Gillean, a loving husband, father, grandfather, papa, brother, friend, and man of faith, passed away on June 11, 2026.
Born to Luther and Dorotha Gillean, Jerry lived a life of service, dedication, and love. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and later retired from General Motors Local 659 after 30 years of dedicated work. He also served as an internationally appointed committee man for the UAW, always standing up for and supporting others.
Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing, lifting weights, and spending time with his wife, family, and his beloved dog Gabby. He was known for his great stories, his strength, his humor, and his generous heart. A devoted follower of Jesus Christ, Jerry’s faith guided the way he loved and cared for those around him.
He is survived by his wife, Jere M. Gillean; brother Bill; children Robin (Gary) Ferrier, Kelly Judkins, John Gillean, Jason (Melissa) Gillean, Kere (Ryan) Hamilla, and Jere Bond; grandchildren Tiffani (Nick) Wharry, Robert (Charlotte) Ferrier, Onna (Ryan Ferrence) Judkins, Natalie Gillean, Deklan Gillean, Victoria (Joel) Truax, Tyler Hamilla, Kden Bridges, Kannin Bridges, Kylin Bridges, Leiana, Liberty Bond, Rigo Martinez Jr., and Bella Collins; five great-grandchildren, with one on the way.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Dorotha Gillean; sister Debbie Liebengood; and son Todd Walker.
He was deeply loved and will be missed by many. His memory will live on through the family and friends whose lives he touched. The Gillean Family would also like to thank the paramedics, the GC medical examiner’s office, and Officer Mcaffae for their kindness.
Visitation: Sunday, June 14, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Hansen’s Funeral Home, Davison, MI. Funeral Service: Monday, June 15, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Hansen’s Funeral Home, Davison, MI.
