Jerome "Jerry" Ronald Herman of Davison, age 83, died Saturday December 5, 2015 at Genesee Care Center. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Wednesday December 9, 2015 at St. John the Evangelist 404 Dayton St. Davison. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski, Celebrant. Rite of Committal will follow at New Calvary Cemetery. Family will receive visitors from 5-8 pm Monday and 1-4 and 6-8 pm Tuesday. A memorial service under the auspices of Knights of Columbus Council #4090 will be held at 6 pm Tuesday with a family reflection time at 7:30 pm at the funeral home. Jerry will lie in state at the Church from 10 am Wednesday until time of services. Those desiring may make contributions in Jerry's memory to Powers Catholic High School. Jerome was born in Flint Michigan on August 9, 1932 the son of Burdette "Joe" & Madeline (Charron) Herman and has resided in the area his entire life. He was joined in marriage to Charlene Maria Bouley on February 16, 1957 and she preceded him in death on November 17, 2009. Answering the call of his country Jerry served in the US Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council #4090. Jerome had been employed by the Frito Lay Company. Surviving are children: Delphine (Mark Danko) Herman, Teresa (John Linker) Herman, and Susan (Ed) Landon. His grandchildren: Steven (Michele) Herman, Nicolas Herman, Matt Landon, Jon (Michelle) Landon, Austin Landon, and great grandchild Harper & Riley Landon. He also leaves brothers; Robert Herman John Herman, sister Pat Snyder, sister-in-law Yvonne Brunell and a host of other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his children Jerry Herman, Zoeanne Herman and brother Bernard Herman. The family would like to express a special thank you to JoAnne Herman.
