Ratza, Janis Diane- age 62 of Davison, Michigan lost her battle with lung cancer and was called home by the angels in heaven to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, September 27, 2019.  She was comforted by family in her final moments before making her journey to heaven.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday October 3, 2019 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Pastor Dino LaSala officiating, with private burial in Calvary Cemetery, Mt. Morris. Family will receive visitors from 4-7 pm Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Family will also receive visitors one hour prior to services on Thursday. Those desiring may make contributions in Janis's memory to McLaren Hospice.

Janis was born on June 4, 1957, the daughter of Francis and Velma Ratza of Davison, Michigan.  She graduated from Davison High School in 1975.  She was a member of the Life Christian Church, formerly located in Flint.  She worked as a teller at NBD and Pearle Vision, in addition to selling Mary Kay cosmetics, for many years before moving to Florida in 2011.  She especially enjoyed swimming, jogging, and her dog Lulu.  Whenever Janis showed up to a family gathering, she was always the life of the party.  She had a vibrant personality and unbelievable sense of humor.  Janis was a natural with her quick wit, always telling funny stories and jokes. Most of all, Janis loved her family.  She is survived by her parents, Francis and Velma Ratza, siblings Greg Ratza, Gayla (Jim) Dean, Dawn (Brad) Swadling, Gary (Gayle) Ratza, and Mark (Debbie) Ratza, in addition to many dear nieces and nephews (Michael, Jennifer, Shane, Adrian, Krystal, Nicole, Corey, Kyle, Alicia, Aaron, Bobby, Celina, Sara, and Ritchie).
