Janice Ann Shannon of Richfield Township, age 79, died Monday July 28, 2014 at Lapeer County Medical Care Facility. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday July 31, 2014 at the Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Burial will follow at Richfield Union Cemetery. Family will receive visitors from 1-4 and 6-8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions is Janice's memory to the Alzheimer Foundation. Janice was born in Richfield Township on October 16, 1934 the daughter of the late; Frederick & Myrtle (Crampton) Baker and has resided in the area her entire life. She was joined in marriage to Albert Shannon on November 3, 1956 and he preceded her in death on January 2, 2008. She leaves to cherish her memory daughters; Elsie Shannon(Butch), Brenda(Ralph)Herndon, Mary Dye, Carla Shannon (Rocket), and Jennifer Stuer. Her sons; John Shannon(Miss Bea),and Charles Shannon(Sam), Daughter-in-Law Rennie Shannon. Her loving 19 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and many great great grandchildren. Brother Jack Baker , and a host of other relatives. she is preceded in death by her sons; Larry Shannon, Steven Shannon, sister Mary Nuttle, and brother Lawrence Baker.
