Janet Louise Bentley of Genesee Township, age 82, died Thursday October 17, 2024 at her residences, surrounded by family. Honoring her wishes cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Janet was born in Flint Michigan on October 5, 1942 the daughter of the late: Herbert & Naoma (Wallace) Fischer and has resided in the Flint area her entire life. Janet had a love of the outdoors, having enjoyed raising and riding horses her entire life, she also was active for many years in the 4-H organization. She was an avid Roller skater and had held several speed title over the years.  Janet had been employed by Genesee County as a legal secretary for the Commissioners until her retirement with over twenty years of service.

She leaves to cherish her memory:  daughter Kim Hall, and sons: David (Sadie) Bentley and Michael Bentley. Janet also leaves grandchildren: Sydney, Chloe, Amanda and great grandchildren Gavyn and Gracelynn.   She also leaves her brother Mike (Carrie) Fischer, and a host of extended family and friends.
