James Richard Stables of Davison, age 77, died Sunday April 28, 2024 at his residence. Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place, with private burial in Almont Michigan. Those desiring may make contributions in Jim's memory to the American Kidney Foundation, American Lung Association, American Diabetes Association or Crohns-Colitis Foundation.

Jim was born in Traverse City, Michigan on March 25, 1947 the son of the late James E. and Helen (Stafford) Stables and has resided in the Davison area since 1976. He was joined in marriage to Carol Sue Revoldt on February 26, 1966. Jim served as the EMS Director of the Davison Area Ambulance Association from 1976 until 1987. Jim and his wife Carol owned and operated the Davison 7-11 Store for many years.

Surviving are his wife Carol, sons: James Stables II and wife Deborah (Fox), and Robert Stables. He also leaves his eight loving grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. Surviving also are his brother Herb Stables, sisters: Janet LaRose, Joyce McElroy, and a host of extended family and friends.
